The Village at Abaco Club

The Village at Abaco is a 500 acre offering located on the beautiful white sandy bay of the Abaco Club between the estate beachfront lots and the cliffside homes overlooking the Bay. The Village at Abaco is a unique residential offering that combines smart site planning with comfortable, interesting architecture in close proximity to an exciting heartbeat of the club within a native setting to provide an unforgettable memory. The Pro Shop, Flippers and Pavilion are the original core to this village and now, with the addition of the Club House, the vital link to the new Club residences on the beach. We worked closely with Southworth Development to ensure that the core amenities will promote day round family fun, multi-generational experiences and reinforce the experiences of Village life.

Camp Sarika by Amangiri

A short hike or drive from Amangiri, amid an unearthly 600-acre landscape of towering mesas, slot canyons and rust-coloured sands, the tented retreat of Camp Sarika promises an intimate, back-to-the-wild experience in the desert heart of Utah. The camp’s cluster of 10 canvas-topped pavilions, each with a private plunge pool, centres on a shared lounge, restaurant, and pool area – an enclave of meditative seclusion in one of the most geologically dramatic places on Earth.

Park Lane

We developed the landscape architecture concept for this exclusive, high-end luxury condominium building adjacent to the Ala Moana shopping complex. The design includes an elevated entry auto-court, event lawn, lanai lawn areas, green roofs, art walk with water features, lap pool, spas, individual plunge pools and kids’ club pool area.

Del Sur

The 500-acre Del Sur community is a diverse variety of neighborhoods, greenways, parks and a multi-use downtown center. In addition to creating the master plan, our work includes the sales center, village center and a variety of pocket parks throughout the neighborhoods. Our plan highlights the natural wetland corridor preserved and enhanced to create a community park with trail connections to regional greenways. In 2007 the Ranch House (Sales Center) received a LEED Platinum award from the U.S. Green Building Council; the Gold Nugget Award of Merit for the best community site plan; Sustainable Community of the Year by Southern California’s building industry; Sustainable Community of the Year from the Regional Building Industry Association; and an ASLA San Diego Chapter President’s Award for the community parks and open space system.

Upper East Side

Centrally located in the greater Dallas metro area, The Village occupies 337 acres, encompassing 14 individual residential developments, totaling more than 7,000 units. For more than 35 years, this community has offered residents the opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the private club facilities. Building upon these core principles, VITA was asked to re-master plan this community to increase density and create a village core to position the landholding for a 21st century clientele. Efforts included transforming this iconic apartment community into a more pedestrian-friendly environment. Creating a comprehensive network of informal streets and extending the existing open-space system, while preserving the mature landscape, also allows The Village to accommodate growth within its existing landscape framework.

Victoria Place at Ward Village

Victoria Place will be the 7th tower released in Howard Hughes’ 60-acre Ward Village Master Plan, between downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. Victoria Place is a 40-story/350-unit luxury residential tower situated adjacent to the Makai (ocean facing) portion of Victoria Ward Park. VITA’s concept, inspired by Honolulu’s kama’aina clubs and estate homes, incorporates a lush ground level courtyard garden directly adjacent to the building’s lobby. Ground level residential amenity space includes a private lanai pool house with kitchen, grill and a pool – perfect for private events. The 5th level amenity deck includes two unique spaces with sweeping views of Honolulu from Diamond Head sunrises to green flash Pacific sunsets. The Sunrise lanai, with a lap pool, private treatment rooms and lawn space is perfect for entertaining or group exercise. Additionally, the Sunset lanai has a large family pool and spa overlooking the adjacent harbor, an event lawn overlooking Makai Park, large BBQ cabanas, as well as private dining facilities and wine cave.

Kiawah

Located on John’s Island just 15 miles from the Charleston peninsula, beyond the farmstands and fields of vegetables, Kiawah River is a stunning 2,000 acre waterfront and village community set within the grand canopy of heritage live oaks. Kiawah River is comprised of gathering places fit for field feasts and campfires connected by a network of trails and village greens, cottages adorned in sun-washed whites, waterfront lodge, swim club, woodland chapel, guest cabins, and boat landing with a dockside restaurant. The master plan includes unique waterfront and village homesites with waterfront views and access, open spaces, and maritime forests waiting to be explored. Distinct neighborhoods will create a riverfront village connected by a network of trails and shared amenities such as the Outfitter for fishing and exploring. The Main Street Village is a collection of local shopkeepers, destination spa and boutique hotel cottages set along the Kiawah River.

Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costas Palmas

The resort includes 141 guest rooms as well as beachfront and marina homes. The residences offer generous interior spaces which blend seamlessly into shaded outdoor living areas to embrace their natural environment. Mill District

We are currently working on this approximately 10-acre, mixed-use development in Healdsburg, California. After several years of master planning and collaborating with the community and city staff, we developed a master plan and weaved it into the fabric of the community. Mill District includes: 53 key hotels; 41 affordable housing units; more than 200 market rate and missing middle rental and for sale units; 15,000 square feet of commercial space; and at the center of it all, a public open space surrounded by defining heritage redwood trees. And a network of streetscapes connects them all together.
