Shingle Style Residence, Colorado

Our client combined two existing housing lots to create this gently sloping five acre property located in the historic Village of Cherry Hills, just outside of Denver, Colorado.  The client desired an architectural expression that was reminiscent of the grand shingle style estates of the early 1900’s. We worked diligently with the architect to preserve the dozens of existing mature oaks, maples and fir trees, and site the various design elements including: the 25,000 square foot home, lap pool and pool house, paddle tennis court, new pond, and great lawn. The result is a series of garden rooms with uncomplicated, pleasing forms and details constructed from materials of wood and stone as would have been done 100 years ago.
