From a master-planning perspective, this 700-acre project on Barbuda presented many unique challenges. The property consists of two separate parcels, each with its own identity. VITA was called upon to develop an overall masterplan, with residential and amenity packages, that would allow the two neighborhoods to complement each other. We also planned the phasing and re-purposing of buildings and resources to achieve real estate goals. This project features a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, multiple beach clubs and villages, an environmental school, family barns and two farms. Special planning has been given to building sustainability on the island and preserving the natural resources and wildlife habitat.
This 6,700-acre property sits along a four-mile stretch of the Upper Provo River, providing an unmatched setting for active individuals and families to escape from the rigors of daily life and reconnect with nature. VITA was charged with developing a masterplan capable of bringing this vision to life. Located along the North Kona Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kukio Golf and Beach Club is a spectacular 1,100-acre property. VITA helped create its vision and develop its masterplan to attract the world’s most discriminating buyers. The property includes just 300 residences. Amenities include a 35,000-squarefoot, oceanfront beach club and spa, a hillside golf clubhouse, community parks, a breathtaking Tom Fazio-designed golf course, and a fun, 10-hole golf trail, as well as carefully preserved shoreline ponds and archeological sites. In keeping with the relaxed Hawaiian ambiance, a beautifully designed network of trails for pedestrian and golf-cart travel allows residents to walk barefoot from the rear yards of their homes to the beach.
Punta Sayulita is a 10-hectare peninsula adjacent to the seaside town of Sayulita in Nayarit, Mexico. VITA is working with two separate owners to provide land planning and landscape architectural design services for the property. The peninsula is beautifully forested and visible from many parts of town. The site is extremely rugged and steep with huge granite boulders, offering limited beach access. Due to the site’s sensitivity, our efforts are oriented towards maximizing ocean and bay views while preserving this extraordinary environment by minimizing construction. The plan we developed leaves three predominant hilltops untouched and carefully controls building locations along the oceanfront.
VITA was integral to the development and execution of the masterplan for this iconic private golf and residential community in the popular Highlands-Cashiers region of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina.
